Congratulations Crotonblog

August 27, 2005

Congratulations to all the creators of the crotonblog. Your recognition in this Sunday’s New York Times Westchester section is well-deserved. Over 1600 unique visitors per month means that you have opened an important new means of communicating in Croton. Thanks again from a regular reader.

I read the article on Saturday and had a huge smile on my face. Congratulations to Jeff and Ross. I am proud to be able to contribute to the site. (of course, being mentioned by my code name was also a thrill, I must admit)

Awesome NY Times article. How often can we point out the wonders of this great little town. Imagine, we’re only 7000 plus people yet the major NY Times newspaper focuses on our little Crotonbog (not so little with 1600+ visitors to the site). We’re rich in history, tradition, heritage, beauty, neighborliness, caring, openness and acceptance of differing views most of the time..

Keep on growing crotonblog. You offer a unique tool for neighbor to talk to neighbor about both local and broader based issues. And for me, one who prides him/herself with knowing a whole lot of people in the village, it’s fun to try to speculate on who the tag names belong to in real life. (I must admit to being wrong most of the time!)
