Tigers Come Up Short in First Road Game

September 18, 2005

The Croton-Harmon boy’s football team dropped their first road game of the season losing to Haldane 28-7 despite gaining an impressive 216 yards rushing. Junior Matt Forzaglia led the Tigers rushing attack with 83 yards on 13 carries, including a 6 yard touchdown run in the 2nd quarter. Senior Sal Alessi led the Tiger defense with 2 sacks and a fumble recovery.

The Tigers will look to rebound in their first Section 1 C-League A game against another 0-2 team, Magnus this Saturday September 24, 2005 at 1:30 PM. The game will be away in Bardonia, NY. There would be no better time to notch the first win of the season than in their first league match-up.

Good luck on Saturday.

I’ve just come by the high school for the first time in a few weeks and want to say thanks to the school board for making this a reality. It looks like a “real honest to goodness learning center” now and not like a hick town local high school. Our kids deserve the very best place to learn and equipment and so do our teachers. The passing of the bond resolution was the best thing for us to do and we can be proud of our staff and administratio and ourselves for putting our kids before anything else. And more important our kids can now concentrate on their mission of soaking up as much knowledge as they can before leaving for college and the real world.
