The Croton-Harmon High School Football Team ended its 2005 regular season on Saturday night with a 28-0 loss to Section C regular season champion Pleasantville (5-1 overall, 5-0 league). The game was moved from Pleasantville to Fox Lane’s turf field due to the week long rains in the region.
The much improved Tigers offense managed only 86 yards of total offense in the game, 79 on the ground. The powerful Panthers offense was highlighted by 339 rushing yards, with all four of their scores coming on the ground. Brian Bernaducci led Pleasantville with 131 yards rushing and two touchdowns. Two turnovers deep in Croton territory by Pleasantville prevented the score from being even more lopsided.
The Tigers ended their Section C regular season with a 1-3 record and 1-5 overall. Croton-Harmon Senior Quarterback Eric Berger led all Section C QBs with 425 yards passing. Junior Split End Ben Feldman led the league in receiving yards with 208 and Senior Sal Alesi co-led the league with 2 sacks.
A win in the upcoming league playoffs would be a great boost for the young Tigers who look to build off this season by returning 20 of 30 players next year.
