The Croton Academy of Comedic Arts, Inc., also known as CACA, is organizing a fundraiser on Sunday November 13, featuring the well-known improvisational comedy troupe, Chicago City Limits. The event, billed as “Comedy Nite 4 Hurricane Relief,” is planned to entertain and delight audiences with fast-paced “improv” shorts performed by Chicago City Limits actors and CACA students.
The benefit performance will be held at the Holy Name of Mary Church Hall in Croton-on-Hudson, NY from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM. Proceeds will be donated to ongoing hurricane relief efforts, specifically to projects that benefit children and teens.
To set the stage for this unique event, CACA students will transform the church hall into a comedy club, complete with food and beverage service, including a new non-alcoholic specialty drink, the CACA cooler. Ticket prices are $ 15 for adults and $ 10 for students and children. This performance is not recommended for children under age 5.
The Croton Academy of Comedic Arts is a unique organization for teens. Students perform comedy and comedy improvisation in a variety of different venues. The goal is to connect to the community through a common denominator that unites us all: laughter. A secondary goal is to regularly raise funds for world causes. All profits from “Comedy Nite 4 Hurricane Relief” will go to charity organizations, researched by CACA students that work directly with children and teens affected by the hurricanes.
For reservations call 914-548-9599 or send a request with checks payable to CACA to: Croton Academy of Comedic Arts, P.O. Box 241, Croton, NY 10520. Tickets will also be available for purchase at the door the night of the performance.
