Make a Date with History

November 14, 2005

The Croton-on-Friends of History set up a table at the Black Cow on Saturday morning, November 12, 2005 to promote their brand-new 2006 calendar, designed by Sandra Hardy.

Friends of History members Don and Lyn were on-hand to help point out the “then and nows” of the historical photographs represented on each monthly page. If you weren’t able to get to the Black Cow or were there, and since have regretted not buying a calendar for your home or office, or think it would make a great gift, they are now available by mail or can be picked up all around town.

Friends of History 2006 calendars can be purchased for $12.00 at the Stanley J. Kellerhouse Municipal Building, Croton Hardware, The Grandstand, Wondrous Things, Country Gardens in Croton and the Art Barn in Ossining.

To get a calendar by mail, or to have one sent to a friend, send a check for $15.00 to: Freinds of History, Box 193, Croton-on-Hudson, New York 10520. Friends of History is a non-profit organization. Dues, donations, and all proceeds support a series of programs on local history, as well as environmental and cultural issues of interest to Hudson Valley residents.

If you are also interested in further supporting the Friends of History, become a member by sending a check to the same address as above. Annual membership, from January to December is $10.00 for individuals, $15.00 for families, $25.00 for institutions, and $5.00 for seniors (62 and older).
