The Village of Croton-on-Hudson Police Department and Department of Public Works recently won approval from the Board of Trustees to install the following new signs for traffic abatement and school safety awareness purposes in four areas within the Village proper:

  1. A stop sign will be added at the intersection of Hunter Place and Old Post Road North in conjuction with additional signs along Hunter Street designating it as a “school safety area”;

  2. Parking on the north side of Mt. Airy Road from Mt. Airy Woods to the corner of Maple Street will be prohibited;

  3. Two additional signs will be placed along Maple Street from Olcott Avenue to the traffic light at Old Post Road indicating a “school safety area”;

  4. Additional signs would be placed Maple Street and near Municipal Place indicating “school safety area”.
