Police Blotter - Week of November 21st

November 28, 2005

November 21

11:22 AM: Croton-on-Hudson Fire Department responded to a residence on Hale Hallow Road about a child who was locked in a room. Shortly after arrival, the Fire Department gained access to the room without incident.

November 22

6:06 AM: There was a report of a burglary at the Poritsky building on Albany Post Road as the front door was forced open and entry was gained. The matter is under investigation.

6:50 AM: Upon investigation of the area surrounding of the Poritsky building, Patrol found a forced open window at the Coldwell Banker Building on Albany Post Road. The matter is under investigation.

7:45 AM: There was a report that the front door to the Law Office of John Gochman on Riverside Avenue was forced open and entry was gained. Upon further investigation of the area, Patrol also found that a front window of Karas Insurance was broken and an entry resulted there too. The matters are under investigation.

12:45 PM: There was a report from Coldwell Banker on Grand Street that a side window was forced open, entry was gained and two computer monitors were stolen. The matter is under investigation.

November 23

3:20 PM: There was a alarm activation at a Albany Post Road residence. Fire Department and Patrol responded and determined that the alarm was set off as a result of burning popcorn from a microwave oven.

8:30 PM: There was a report from a resident of Grand Street that at sometime during the night his car was stolen from in front of his home. The car was later recovered in Ossining after Ossining Police reported that the vehicle was involved in a hit and run accident. The matter is under investigation.

November 26

9:31 PM: There was a report of a disorderly group at the rear of the New York Sports Club. Patrol responded and cleared the group from the area without incident.
