10:18 AM: There was a report from a resident of Sunset Lane about a worker on their premises who had injured their arm while working with a saw. Patrol and ambulance responded, administered first aid and transported the individual to the Westchester County Medical Center for treatment.
12:43 PM: There was a report from a resident on Sunset Drive who had locked their keys in their car while it was running. Patrol responded and gained access to the vehicle without incident.
3:32 PM: The parking enforcement officer reports possible damage to one of the handicap meters in Veteran’s Plaza. Upon further investigation by Patrol, it was determined that the damage was a result on weather-related wear and tear.
3:28 PM: There was a report of duck causing a hazardous condition on Route 9 South. Patrol responded and safely removed the duck, unharmed, from the roadway.
9:22 PM: There was a report of an accident on Route 9 North near Senasqua Road. Patrols responded and upon investigation, reported that the vehicle had been traveling northbound, and for unknown reason the driver of the vehicle lost concentration and struck the guardrail numerous times on the right-hand side of the roadway.
3:36 PM: There was a report of a possible water main leak in the area of Gerstein Street. Patrols responded, confirmed the leak and dispatched the Water Department to repair the leak.
8:11 PM: There was a report of debris in the road on Route 9 North near the Route129 exit. Patrol responded and removed the debris from the roadway without incident.
7:30 AM: Officer on patrol reported a group of 15-20 picketers at Croton Point Avenue and Veteran’s Plaza. Investigation revealed that the picketers were member of the Metro North Transit Union demonstrating in support of NYC MTA workers on strike in NYC. Patrol maintained the area without incident.
8:08 AM: There were several reports of a motor vehicle accident on Route 9 South in the area of the Warren Road overpass. Patrol responded and assisted the operator with medical attention. The operator was transported to Westchester County Medical Center for treatment by ambulance. Upon investigation it was revealed that the operator of the vehicle had been traveling southbound and for unknown reasons left the roadway and went in to the center median. Upon attempting to reenter the roadway, the vehicle crossed both lanes and struck the right-hand guardrail on the shoulder.
6:04 PM: County Fire Control called to request the Croton Fire Department respond to provide mutual aid to a Yorktown residence on Blinn Road. Fire Department responded and upon arrival determined that the fire alarm was false.
5:50 AM: There was report from a resident on Morningside Drive regarding criminal mischief to their mailbox sometime overnight. Upon further investigation by Patrols, two other mailboxes were damaged on the same street as well as the side view mirror on a parked car. The matter is under investigation.
6:00 PM: There was a report of heavy traffic conditions on Route 129 near the entrance to the Village. Patrol responded and located a motor vehicle accident involving two vehicles. The accident was caused when one vehicle was pulling out of a driveway and was struck by another vehicle traveling eastbound. No injuries were reported.
8:10 PM: There was a report of youths knocking over Christmas decorations in the area of Beekman Avenue. Patrols responded and apprehended the youths involved. Youth detective division is presently following up on the incident with the youths and their parents. The holiday decorations at three of the residences were repaired youths involved.
12:00 AM: Officer on patrol reports observing reindeer pulling a sleigh with an unknown male dressed in red traveling over Croton in the night sky.
2:13 AM: There was a report of a dispute in a bar on Grand Street. Patrols responded and reported that the dispute had been settled prior to arrival and that both parties involved had left the area.
2:28 PM: There was a report of an accident on Albany Post Road. Patrols responded and reported that two vehicles were involved. No injuries were reported. Damage was minor as one vehicle rear-ended into another.
12:45 AM: There was a report from a resident of Grand Street about loud music. Patrols responded and located the source of the music and had the party in question lower the volume without incident.
1:00 AM: There was a report of a deer in the roadway on Route 9 North. Patrols responded and removed the deer from the roadway and called NYS DOT to remove the deceased animal from the area.
10:15 PM: There was a report from a resident of Van Wyck Street who was locked out of his residence. Patrol responded and assisted the resident in gaining entry to the premises without incident.
