8:49 AM: Detectives arrested a 31-year-old Ossining male for the robbery of the Exxon station on December 20, 2005 on an arrest warrant. The individual was arrested at the Westchester County Jail where he was being held on another charge. The man was brought back to Croton Police HQ, where he was processed and arraigned. Bail was set by the judge at $10,000 and the individual was later returned to the Westchester County Jail.
6:30 PM: There was a report from a resident of Olcott Avenue who reported a gas odor in their home. Fire Department and Patrol responded and determined that food on the stove was burning and was the cause of the smell. No injuries were reported.
7:14 PM: There was a report from a resident of Woodlake Drive, about a carbon monoxide detector activation. The callers also indicated that they were also experiencing symptoms of carbon monoxide inhalation. Croton Fire Department responded with New York State Police and Ossining Emergency Medical Technicians.
2:44 AM: There was a report from a resident of Van Wyck Street about a bat flying around the inside of their home. Patrol responded and captured the bat without incident. Police held the bat overnight until it was picked up by the Westchester County Health Department the next day.
5:27 PM: Metropolitan Transportation Authority Police called Croton Police for back up about a dispute between a commuter and an Metro North conductor on the rail platform at the Croton Harmon train station. No further information is available.
1:02 PM: An alarm company called to report an activated fire alarm at a Teatown Road residence. Fire Department responded and determined that a worker at the premises accidentally cut a communications line causing the alarm to go off.
5:01 PM: There was a report from a resident from Upper North Highland Place that she found a hunting arrow in her front yard. The matter is under investigation.
