Croton's Snowfall Parking Ticket Law Now in Effect
Speaking of the two-hour delay in the opening of Croton Harmon schools today, January 23, 2006, the new snowfall parking prohibitions, recently passed by a split decision of 3-2, by the Village of Croton-on-Hudson Board of Trustees, has been published in the Village code.
The recently enacted legislation (Local Law Introductory No. 3 of 2005) is now enforceable by the Croton Police Department. The law prohits parking on Village sidewalks and curbs and calls for residents to be cited for parking violations during and after a snowfall of 2 or more inches (see also: “Four Wheel Curb Surfing”).
