A Time to Reflect on the Candidates...

February 1, 2006

croton-on-hudson-senasqua-park.jpgIn what has already been a very busy week of reporting and blogging on both the Democratic and Republican caucusses, Village of Croton-on-Hudson residents now have seven weeks to ponder their choices of candidates up for election on March 21, 2006.

In the upcoming Village election there are two open Board of Trustee seats and a single position for Village Justice. Trustee Incumbants Charlie Kane (D) (search) and Jim Steinberg (R) (search) will campaign against eachother for one seat, while political newcomer Joe Gonzalez (R) (search) challenges former two-term Trustee and current Planning Board Chair Ann Gallelli (D) (search) for the other post.

Additionally, long-time serving Republican Guy Adami (search), who has served as Village Justice since 1982 is being challenged for the first time in 16 years by former Village of Croton-on-Hudson Trustee and Attorney Sam Watkins (D) (search), who served four consecutive two-year terms from 1992 to 2000.
