Eaglefest to Attempt Another Landing at Teatown

February 13, 2006

Teatown Lake ReservationSince being postponed because of snow this past weekend, the Teatown Lake Reservation “2nd annual Eagle Fest celebration” has been rescheduled for Sunday, February 19, 2006 from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, weather permitting.

Eagle Fest 2006 commemorates the time each winter—between January and March—when bald eagles from Canada and northern New England fly south to the Croton and Hudson rivers to feed on prey found in unfrozen rivers and reservoirs. In celebration of this annual migration of our national symbol—the bald eagle—Teatown Lake Reservation will host a number of informative programs, exhibits and children’s crafts during the day for participants to enjoy during the day.

For a complete schedule of events and more information, please visit the Teatown Lake Reservation website.
