February 15

12:00 PM: There was a report from CVS Pharmacy about an individual who was shoplifting baby formula and left the store. Patrol responded to speak with the store personnel and commence an investigation.

6:57 PM: Patrol stopped a vehicle on Route 9 North for vehicle and traffic violations. Police arrested the driver for criminal impersonation, a misdemeanor, the vehicle was towed and the driver, a 53-year-old Peekskill resident was brought to Police HQ, where he was charged and later released after posting $500.00 bail. The man is due in Village Court on March 1, 2006 at 9:30 AM.

February 16

8:41 AM: Police arrested an 18-year-old Croton female for Petty Larceny. The woman was arrested for shoplifting from CVS the previous day. She was brought to Police HQ where she was later released to a family member and is due in Village Court on February 22, 2006 at 9:30 AM.

6:03 PM: There was a report from a resident of Nordica Drive that sometime overnight someone entered his car parked—in front of his house—and stole two pair of sunglasses. The matter is under investigation.

February 17

1:47 PM: There was a report of a fallen tree and downed power lines on Park Trail. Police, Croton Fire Department and Village Department of Public Works responded to the scene to assist until Con Ed arrived.

2:46 PM: There was a report from a resident of Ridge Road about downed phone lines blocking the road. Patrol and Verizon responded to the scene to restore safe passage to motorists.

6:43 PM: There was a report from a resident of Elmore Avenue about smoke coming from her refrigerator. Patrol and Fire Department responded to the scene and determined that the cause of the smoke was from the appliance’s electric motor.

February 19

1:46 PM: A resident of Hastings Avenue reported that individuals were selling merchandise door-to-door. Patrol responded and had the group cease as they were soliciting without a permit..

February 20

12:58 AM: The Metro North Yardmaster reported that there was a fire at the MTA fueling pad. Both MTA Police and the Croton Fire Department responded to the scene to extinguish the fire.

11:34 AM: There was a report from a resident of Prospect Place that an antique chair was stolen from her driveway. The matter is under investigation.

3:15 PM: There was a report from a resident on Farrrington Road that an old desk was stolen from his sidewalk while he was moving. The matter is under investigation.

7:29 PM: There was a report from a resident of Young Avenue that her 1991 Toyota was stolen from in front of her home. About 30 minutes later, the car was located at the Croton Diner in an area where several 15-year-old Croton youths were standing. The matter is under investigation.
