Croton's Cornelia Cotton Presents the Social and Political History of Mt. Airy

February 27, 2006

The Croton Friends of History present Cornelia Cotton, a writer and longtime resident of Mt. Airy, who will talk about the history and personalities of that interesting neighborhood of Croton on Monday, March 6, 2006 at 7:30 PM at the Croton Free Library.

The Mt. Airy section (satellite) of Croton—a home to many prominent artists, writers, political figures, romantics, and dreamers—has been scorned by some but attracted others for the past hundred years as it was known as a haven for the unconventional, all the while leaving its mark on the American story.

The Croton Free Library is located at 171 Cleveland Drive, Croton-on-Hudson, New York (map). Times and dates for this program and others are subject to change without notice. Please call the library at 914-271-6612 for more information.
