March 1

9:54 AM: Patrol stopped a vehicle on North Riverside Avenue for vehicle and traffic violations and upon further investigation, the driver was charged with Unlawful Possession of Marijuana. The driver, a 25-year-old male resident of Cortlandt Manor was brought to Police HQ, where he was arraigned, released on $100.00 bail and is due in Village Court on March 8, 2006 at 9:30 AM.

March 2

12:48 PM: On Route 9 South, Fire Department, ambulance and Patrol responded to an overturned tractor trailer that went off the road due to slippery condition. No injuries were reported.

March 3

10:07 PM: There was a report of a two vehicle accident on Lounsbury Road. Patrol responded to the scene and during the course of the accident investigation, arrested a 55-year-old Croton resident for Driving While Intoxicated (DWI). The man was brought to Police HQ where he was arraigned, later released to a family member and is due in Village Court on March 8, 2006 at 9:30 AM.

March 4

10:19 AM: Patrols responded to a report about a sick skunk in the road on Mt. Airy Road. Patrol responded and destroyed the animal. Croton Department of Public Works later removed the remains.

6:35 PM: There was a report from a resident of Cortlandt that during the previous week while her car was parked at the Croton Harmon commuter parking lot, someone stole her parking permit. The matter is under investigation.

March 5

1:16 AM: There was a report from a resident of Half Moon Bay about loud music coming from a neighbor’s residence. Patrol responded and had the music turned down without incident.

9:03 PM: There was a report from a resident of Sunset Drive that her clothes dryer was on fire. Patrols and Fire Department responded to the scene to extinguish the fire without further incident.
