Westchester County’s six publicly owned golf courses will be showcased during the Lower Hudson Golf Show, featuring the latest in golf equipment, technology, golf lessons and much more on Saturday and Sunday, March 18 and 19, 2006, from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM at the Westchester County Center in White Plains.
Westchester Parks will have information for golfers about its six challenging 18-hole golf courses, located throughout the county. The courses have PGA professionals, fully stocked pro shops and a variety of amenities. Three of the courses have driving ranges. Pros from the courses will be on hand to give swing tips and sell merchandise.

The county-owned golf courses are Mohansic in Yorktown Heights; Maple Moor in White Plains; Saxon Woods in Scarsdale; Dunwoodie and Sprain Lake, both in Yonkers, and Hudson Hills in Ossining.
The two-day extravaganza is specifically designed for the regular golfer and will feature a number of golf club manufacturers demonstrating their new 2006 products. Visitors can demo the latest clubs from major manufacturers and visit exhibitors from the world of golf including golf fitness, golf retail, travel destinations, golf resorts and more.
Golfers can try their luck in the “$10,000 teetimeking.com” putting contest, on a putting green provided by Home Green Advantage. Hourly prizes will be drawn from registration forms filled out by attendees. Prizes will include county golf gift certificates and other golf-related items. A grand prize of a roundtrip domestic airfare for two will be provided by Jet Blue Airways.
Golfers can also participate to win a free round of golf at a county course with WFAS on-air personalities Jay Michaels and Dave Ashton. In addition, a week long pass for two to the 2006 U.S. Open at Winged Foot Golf Club in Mamaroneck will be awarded to one lucky attendee.
