Croton Dems Sweep Village Election
March 22, 2006In the Village of Croton-on-Hudson race for Trustee, the two Democratic candidates—Ann Gallelli and Charlie Kane—scored a total of 1,918 votes while the two Republican candidates—Jose Gonzalez and James M. Steinberg—scored a total of 1,335 votes. The total votes cast for all four Trustee candidates was 3,253, meaning that the two Democratic candidates won an impressive 59% of the votes, while the Republicans only garnered 41% of the votes.
Similarly, in the judgeship election 1,622 votes were cast. Democratic candidate Sam R. Watkins Jr. won 56% of the votes cast while Republican incumbent Guy M. Adami got only 44% of the total votes. (hat tip for the statistical breakdown goes out to reader SB)
