April 28, 2006Looking for something different to do this weekend? Head down to Van Cortlandt Manor in Croton-on-Hudson for something completely different at their “Hands-on-Heritage Crafts Weekend”.
Try your hand at vanishing historic skills and crafts, including spinning, weaving, candle-making, coopering, tinsmithing, hewing wood, quilting, open-hearth cooking, butter churning, cheese-making, making herbal medicines, blacksmithing, and more. There are plenty of hands-on opportunities for all family members from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM on Saturday to Sunday, April 29th & 30th 2006… Regular admission prices apply to visitors while the festivities are free to all members.
