May 1

4:17 PM: There was a report of a brush fire in front of ET Equipment on South Riverside Avenue. Patrol and Fire Department responded to the scene but upon arrival found that ET employees had already extinguished the fire.

7:19 PM: There was a report about a disabled boat on the Hudson River—north of Croton Point Park. Fire Department responded to the scene by boat and towed the said water craft to the Senasqua park boat ramp.

May 3

8:30 AM: Detective arrested a 32-year-old female resident of Croton-on-Hudsont regarding an incident that occurred at Zeytinia (see Police Blotter for April 5, 2006). The woman was brought to Police HQ where she was arraigned by the judge and later released on her own recognisance.

May 4

1:49 PM: There was a report from a resident of Grand Street that sometime overnight someone went into her unlocked car and stole some items. The matter is under investigation.

5:46 PM: There was a report of a brush fire in the shrubs in front of the Croton Commons. Patrols and Fire Department responded to the scene to extinguish the fire without incident.

7:42 PM: There was a report from a resident of Grand Street that there was an excessive amount of smoke coming from a neighbor’s chimney. Patrol and Fire Department responded to the scene and determined that the smoke was cause by a boiler malfunction.

May 5

12:45 PM: Croton-on-Hudson Recreation Department reported that sometime overnight someone had cut the chain and padlock at the entrance gate to Senasqua Park. The matter is under investigation.

May 6

6:58 AM: There was a report from a resident of Farrington Road that sometime overnight someone had pour an unknown substance on here rock wall that resulted in damage to the wall. The matter is under investigation.

4:19 PM: There was a report from a resident from North Highland Road that someone had used her credit card to make unauthorized purchases. The matter is under investigation.

4:35 PM: There was a report from a resident of Maple Street. Patrol and Fire Department responded to the scene and was able to locate a small fire in the wall of the residence and extinguished the said fire.

8:52 PM: There was a report from a resident Lexington Drive about a large amount of fireworks in the neighborhood. Patrol responded to the area and was unable to locate anyone lighting fireworks.

9:20 PM: Alarm company reported a smoke alarm from MTA building at Metro North. Fire Department responded to the scene and located the source of the alarm in the building’s kitchen.

9:30 PM: There was a report of Fireworks going off in the Sunset park area. Patrol responded to the area and was unable to locate anyone lighting fireworks.

May 7

11:36 AM: There was a report of an injured deer on Mt. Airy Road. Patrol responded to the scene and destroyed the animal and called DPW to remove its remains.
