May 9

5:33 PM: There was a report from Skyview Nursing Home that at sometime during the previous day a wallet was stolen from one of the staff offices. The matter is under investigation.

May 10

8:59 AM: There was a report from the Croton Harmon High School staffer that an iPod was stolen from a student. The matter is under investigation.

8:53 PM: There was a report of a water leak in the area of Hastings Avenue and Devon Avenue. Patrol responded to the scene to confirm the leak and summoned the Water Department for a repair.

10:00 PM: There was a report of a natural gas odor in the area of Sunset Trail. Patrol and Fire Department responded to the scene to investigate but were unable to locate a gas leak.

May 11

9:35 AM: The Croton Recreation Department reported that sometime overnight someone dumped a load of sand behind the field at Dobbs Park. The Croton Recreation Department cleaned up the area. The matter is under investigation.

May 12

12:42 AM: There was a report from a resident of North Highland Place about a tree that had fallen on power lines causing an obstruction in the roadway. Patrol responded to the area and stood by the area until Con Edison arrives to secure and fix the power lines. Subsequently, Croton DPW responded to the scene to remove the fallen debris.

2:17 AM: There was a report of a downed tree obstructing traffic on Morningside Avenue. Patrols and DPW responded to the scene to remove the fallen debris.

9:29 AM: There was a report from the Croton Vision Center on South Riverside Avenue about smoke in the building. After the occupants vacated the premises, Patrol and Fire Department responded to the scene and determined that the smoke was coming from the ventilation system and originated at Bagels on Hudson, the store next door.

11:07 AM: There was a report from a resident of Oneida avenue about two sink holes in the roadway. Croton DPW and the Water Department responded to the area to repair the water supply leak.

May 13

7:53 PM: Patrol stopped a vehicle on Mountain Trail for vehicle and traffic violations. Subsequently, the driver was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated (DWI). The driver, a 53-year-old resident of Croton-on-Hudson, was brought to Police HQ, where he was charged and later released to a family member. The man is due back in Village Court on May 31, 2006 at 9:30 AM.

May 15

9:25 AM: The Croton Recreation Department reported an attempted forced entry at the office trailer parked at the now shuttered Croton Skatepark. The matter is under investigation.
