May 23

9:20 AM: Recreation Department reported that sometime overnight someone overturned the port-o-san at Dobbs Park. The matter is under investigation.

May 24

9:45 AM: Detectives arrested a 44-year-old female resident of Ossining for petty larceny of a wallet stolen from Skyview Nursing Home (see the May 8, 2006 blotter). The woman was brought to Police HQ were she was arraigned by the judge and was later released on her own recognizance. The individual was due in Village Court on May 31, 2006 at 9:30 AM.

12:42 PM: There was a report of an overturned sailboat with two residents of Putnam Valley aboard in the Hudson River. A private boater from New York City who was in the area helped the two people by bringing them ashore. There were no injuries reported.

7:16 PM: There was a report from two Croton residents about both of the bicycles being stolen from the bike rack at the Croton Harmon train station parking sometime during the day. The matter is under investigation.

May 25

1:40 PM: There was a report of a small brush fire on Bramblebush Road. Croton Fire Department responded to the scene but found the fire to be extinguished upon their arrival.

May 26

7:21 AM: There was a report from a resident of Ackerman Court about landscapers in the area using machinery before 8:00 AM. Patrol responded to the scene and asked workers from the landscaping outfit to wait until 8:00 as per village ordinance.

9:22 AM: There was a report of a downed tree on batten Road. Patrol and DPW responded to the scene to direct traffic and remove the debris from the roadway.

10:43 AM: There was a report of a resident of Wood Road about a strong odor of gas in his home. Patrol and Fire Department responded to the scene and determined that the odor was originating from power equipment stored in the garage.

12:39 PM: There was a report from the owner of the Blue Pig that sometime overnight someone tampered with the refrigeration compressor located outside the building. The matter is under investigation.

3:10 PM: there was a report from a resident of half Moon Bay that within the hour of her call her black 2002 Chevy Blazer was stolen from her parking space. The matter is under investigation.

9:33 PM: There was a report from a resident of Old Post South about a noisy group of youths in the area. Patrol responded to the scene and asked the group to disperse from the area.

10:16 PM: There was a report from a resident of Maple Street about a noisy group of youths in Dobbs Park. Patrol responded to the scene and asked the group to disperse from the area.

May 28

1:15 AM: There was a report from a resident of Maple Street about a noisy group of youths in Dobbs Park playing basketball. Patrol responded to the scene and asked the group to disperse from the area.

5:09 PM: The security department at Half Moon Bay called to report that they were detaining two 13-year-old Croton youths who were in possession of several tire stem caps. Patrol responded to the scene, returned to Police HQ with the boys who were later picked up by their parents. The matter is being followed up by the youth officer.

9:51 PM: There was a report from a resident of Grand Street about a noisy group of youths in the area. Patrol responded to the scene and asked the group to disperse from the area.

May 29

9:16 PM: Westchester County Fire Control requested mutual aid at the Mostrose Veterans Hospital. Croton Fire Department responded to the scene.

10:50 PM: There was a report of fireworks being lit off north of Senasqua Park near the Croton Yacht Club. Patrol responded to the scene but was not able to locate any persons in the area.
