Westchester Klezmer Program Seeks Musicians
September 28, 2006The Westchester Klezmer Program, under the musical direction of Kenny Green, is tuned up for its 2006-2007 season with bands for youth, teens and adults and is seeking additional members. And, pre-bar/bat mitzvah musicians can earn mitzvah credit for participation in the program.
Where: Temple Shaaray Tefila (Bedford Corners) on alternate Thursdays; Temple Beth Abraham (Tarrytown) on alternate Wednesdays.
When:
Bedford
- 6:45 – 8:00 pm, 5th - 6th graders
- 6:45 – 8:15 pm, 7th - 8th graders
- 7:30 – 9:15 pm, 9th grade and up
Tarrytown
- 7:00 – 8:15 pm, 5th-7th graders
- 7:45 – 9:15 pm, 8th grade and up
Requirements: Ability to read music, at least one year instruction on instrument, ability to play a chromatic scale.
Fee: $118 per term, plus cost of sheet music.
