Croton's 26th Annual "Run Against Hunger" Returns this Weekend

The Joey Val Memorial Concert kicks off “Run Against Hunger” weekend on Saturday, October 14, 2006, at 7:00 PM. The benefit concert will be held at the Asbury Methodist Church at 17 Old Post Road, Croton-on-Hudson, and feature performances by Mike Latini, Drew Georgopulos, Steve Shiller & Edie Ellis, Andy Revkin, Chris Cassone, Kitty Cowan & Mark Reynolds, Joe Gerardi, Tony Fraina, Steve & Shirl Kaplan, and John Doershuck.

Tickets are $20.00 for adults and $10.00 for children. Call 914-271-5309 for additional information.

Then, on Sunday, October 15, 2006, its race day for the 26th annual running of the Harry Chapin Memorial Run Against Hunger. The first race, a one-mile “Fun Run” starts at 12:00 PM and is followed by a 10k race at 12:30 PM.
