Croton Police Blotter - Week of December 5th

December 5
8:14 PM: There was a report that flyers from the New York Sports clubs were placed on the windshields of parked cars at the Croton Harmon train station lot. Patrol responded to the scene and subsequently notified an employee at the fitness club that their activity is against village law and had them return to the lot to retrieve their flyers from cars and around the area.
December 6
12:05 PM: There was a report from a residence of Grand Street that someone “keyed” the paint on their parked car. The matter is under investigation.
December 7
7:19: There was a report from a resident of Wells Avenue about an apparent sick raccoon in the area. Patrol responded to the area, destroyed the animal and directed Croton Department of Public Works to remove the remains.
10:30 AM: There was a report from the Croton Parks and Recreation Department about a broken walkway lamp in Dobbs Park. The matter is under investigation.
1:37 PM: Alarm company reported a fire alarm activation and determined that the alarm was caused by burning food on their stove.
2:47 PM: There was a report from a resident of Sky View nursing home that some money was taken from her locked cabinet. The matter is under investigation.
5:24 PM: There was a report from a resident of Old Post Road South about a burglary in her home. Missing from the premises was some jewelry while the matter remains under investigation.
7:01 PM: There was a report that flyers from the Memphis Mae’s BBQ Restaurant were placed on the windshields of parked cars at the Croton Harmon train station lot. Patrol responded to the scene and subsequently notified an employee at the fitness club that their activity is against village law and had them return to the lot to retrieve their flyers from cars and around the area.
December 8
12:30: There was a report about two parked cars at the intersection of Grand Street and Mount Airy Road playing loud music. Patrol responded to the scene and asked the parties in question turn down the volume without incident.
11:09 PM: There was a report from a resident of Bari Manor that sometime earlier in the evening, her front door lock was tampered with. The matter is under investigation.
