Brinton Brook's "Second Saturday" Sanctuary Walk Continues...
Leader Anne Swaim is continuing the series of “Second Saturday” walks at Brinton Brook Sanctuary on Saturday, January 13, 2007. Ms. Swaim will lead a group of walkers on the “Second Saturday” of each month to see how the sanctuary changes through the seasons. She advises that participants dress for the weather. The walks occur whether rain or shine and is suitable for ages 4 and up. To Join her, meet at the main sanctuary entrance off Route 9A at 9:00 AM.
Directions: The entrance road to Brinton Brook Sanctuary is off Route 9A in Croton-on-Hudson. From the Senasqua Road exit on Route 9, turn left onto Route 9A and proceed north about one mile. The sanctuary road is on the right, 0.3 miles north of the Sky View Health Care Center, and is marked with a handsome new Brinton Brook Sanctuary sign. The gravel entrance road is 300 yards long and makes a sharp bend at a small parking area at the main entrance, before the road continues into a neighbor’s private lane.
