8:27 AM: There was a report from a resident of Grand Street that sometime overnight the outdoor Christmas decorations that are on display in the front yard of her residence were damaged. The matter is under investigation.

3:02 PM: There was a report of a car fire on Route 9 South. Patrol and Croton Fire Department responded to the scene to extinguish the fire. Sometime later the car was towed from the roadway. There were no injuries reported.

January 3

10:50 PM: There was a report from a resident of Briarcliff Manor that she accidentally left her pocketbook in a shopping cart and when returned to the area her purse was missing. The matter is under investigation.

January 4

5:31 AM: There was a report of an injured deer in the roadway on Albany Post Road. Patrol responded to the scene, destroyed the animal and subsequently notified Croton DPW to remove its remains.

January 5

12:02 AM: MTA Police requested mutual aid at the Croton Harmon train station regarding a larceny that occurred on the train.

9:03 AM: There was a report from a resident of Grand Street that sometime overnight the outdoor Christmas decorations that are on display in the front yard of her residence were damaged. The matter is under investigation.

9:03 AM: There was a report from a resident of Peekskill who locked the keys in her car while it was running. Patrol responded to the scene and assisted in gaining access to the vehicle.

2:33 PM: There was a report from a resident of Grand Street about fraudulent use of his debit card. The matter is under investigation.

January 6

6:59 AM: There was a report of a electrical transformer fire on one of the telephone poles. Patrol and Croton Fire Department responded to the scene and safeguarded the area until Con Edison arrived at the scene to correct the malfunction.

11:31 AM: There was a report from a resident of Grand Street about a neighbor yelling and screaming in their apartment. Patrol responded to the scene and found that two Pit Bulls were fighting inside said apartment. The owner of the dogs was able to control the situation without the help of police.

January 7

12:35 AM: There was a report from a resident of Devon Avenue about a downed power line that set a nearby tree on fire. Patrol and Croton Fire Department responded to the scene and safeguarded the area until Con Edison arrived to cut the power, then extinguished the blaze.

2:00 PM: There was a report of a youth throwing rocks at a building on South Riverside Avenue. Patrol responded to the scene and spoke to the youth in question. There was no damage to the building but Youth Officer is following up with the boy’s parents.
