February 27

2:20 PM: A resident of Cortlandt Manor reported that he was assaulted by a Village of Croton-on-Hudson Water Department employee in the area of Municipal Place and South Riverside Avenue. The victim, a plumber, was struck on the arm with a metal locating device during a dispute. The matter is under investigation.

5:17 PM: There was a report of an explosion and a fire under the Half Moon Bay bridge. Patrol, Croton Fire Department and the MTA Fire Brigade responded to the scene and determined that a third rail power line shorted and caused the explosion and subsequent fire in a track area.

February 28

1:55 PM: There was a report from a resident of Benedict Boulevard about a man going door to door selling meat. Patrol responded to the scene but was unable to locate the party in question.

3:10 PM: There was a report about a seal on the floating ice between Senasqua Park and Half Moon Bay marina. Patrol responded to the scene and found a seal operating normally.

3:14 PM: Patrol arrested a 50-year-old male resident of Fishkill for Assault 3rd Degree and Criminal Possession of a Weapon for an incident that occurred on February 27th. After the man turned himself in to Police, he appeared before the judge, was released on his own recognizance and will appear in Village Court on March 7, 2007 at 9:30 AM.

5:50 PM: Croton Fire Department reported that the lock cylinder on the side door of the firehouse was tampered with sometime overnight. The matter is under investigation.

March 2

2:57 PM: There was a report from a resident of Harrison Street about a gas leak in front of his house. Patrol and Croton Fire Department responded to the scene and stood by until Con Edison arrived to fix the leak.

March 3

2:45 PM: There was a report from a resident of Bari Manor about fraudulent use of his credit card. The matter is under investigation.

10:31 PM: There was a report of an injured deer on Albany Post Road and Scenic Drive West. Patrol responded to the scene, destroyed the animal and notified Croton Department of Public Works to pick up the remains.
