March 5

6:14 PM: County Fire Control requested mutual aid for a structure fire in Buchannan, New York.

March 6

4:47 PM: There was a report from an employee at Oil City that someone had stolen some paperwork from the premises. The matter is under investigation.

6:29 PM: There was a report from a resident of Sunset Trail about a possible chimney fire at her home. Patrol and Croton Fire Department responded to the scene to assist the caller.

7:21 PM: There was a report from a manager at Shop Rite Supermarket that they had a shoplifter in custody. Patrol responded to the scene and arrested a 37-tear-old female resident of Ossining with Pettit Larceny. Police took the woman to police HQ where she was later released on $200.00 bail and is due in Village Court on March 14, 2007 at 9:30 AM.

March 7

3:51 AM: County Fire Control reported an activated carbon monoxide detector at a residence on Woodlake Drive. Croton Fire Department responded to the scene to assist the caller.

6:38 AM: There was a report from a resident of Hastings Avenue about construction noise in the area. Patrol responded to the scene and advised the contractor about the noise ordinance.

10:51 PM: There was a report of a vehicle fire on Route 9 Northbound near Senasqua Road. Patrol and Croton Fire Department responded to the scene and extinguished the fire which was caused by leaking oil.

March 8

7:00 PM: County Fire Control reported that there was a possible gas leak in a residence on North Riverside Avenue. Patrol, Croton Fire Department responded to the scene, shut off the gas and opened a window for ventilation. In the process of inspecting the premises, Fire Department determined that there was a water leak in the building and subsequently shut off the water supply. Con Edison later responded to the scene to check the gas for leaks.

March 9

9:42 AM: There was a report from a resident of Cleveland Drive that she locked her keys in the car while the engine was running and her child was in side. Patrol responded to the scene and assisted the woman in gaining access to her car.

4:22 PM: There was a report from a resident of Beekman Drive to report a water leak. Water Department responded to the scene and confirmed that they were already working on a water main break near Wells Avenue and Maple Street.

6:21 PM: County Fire Control requested mutual aid for a structure fire on Brandreth Street in Ossining, New York.

7:08 PM: There was a report of a parked vehicle that rolled in another parked car in front of the Black Cow Coffee Shop. Patrol responded to the scene and filed an accident report.

March 11

4:22 PM: County Fire Control requested mutual aid for a house fire in Yorktown, New York.

March 12

2:25 AM: Officer on patrol attempted to stop a vehicle on South Riverside Avenue for vehicle and traffic violations. The driver refused to stop and continued on to Route 9 North, then south on Riverside Avenue where a minor accident occurred. After continuing to refuse to stop the car finally did stop on South Riverside Avenue near Van Cortlandt Manor. The driver, a 35-year-old female resident of Ossining, was brought to Police HQ, the car was towed, she was charged with DWI, Unlawfully Fleeing from a Police Officer, Reckless Driving, Aggravated Unlicensed Operation 2nd Degree and numerous other vehicle and traffic violation. After posting $500.00 bail, the woman was released to a friend and is due in Village Court on March 14, 2007 at 9:30 AM.

10:25 AM: There was a report from an employee at Croton Harmon High School that a power outage had occurred. Patrol responded to the scene and assisted school officials in evacuating the school. Police notified Con Edison who arrived shortly thereafter. At 11:00 AM, school officials dismissed the students for the day.
