Dance4Peace to Bop in Upcoming Darfur Fundraiser
Dance4Peace, a Croton dance company formed to raise money for charitable causes, will present their spring dance performance,”Dancing for Darfur,” at the Croton-Harmon High School Auditorium on Friday, May 18, at 7:00 PM. Admission is $10 per person. T-shirts and baked goods will also be available for sale.
The dance group was started in 2006 by a high school student Maggie Lipton and includes twenty-five girls ranging from second grade to high school. All proceeds from their upcoming performance will go to Doctors Without Borders and their work with the victims of genocide in Darfur. Last December, Dance4Peace did a performance that raised over $1,000 for Free the Children, a network of children helping children around the world.
