May 1

6:40 PM: There was a report from a resident on Maple Street about a deck fire. Patrol and Croton Fire Department responded to the scene and extinguished the fire.

May 2

2:48 PM: Officer on patrol stopped a car for Vehicle and Traffic Violations on Old Post Road South. Upon further investigation, officer arrested the passenger, an 18-year-old resident of Croton, of the car for Unlawful Possession of Marijuana, a violation and will appear in village court on May 16, 2007 at 9:320 AM. The driver was issued summons for said Vehicle and Traffic Violations.

May 3

There was a report of a motorcycle accident on Route 9 North near the Montrose exit. Patrol and Croton Fire Department responded to the scene and found the driver, a 35-year-old resident of White Plains, had died as a result of an accident with a car and the guardrail. The driver of the vehicle, a 30-year-old resident of Mahopac, was also injured and was transported to Hudson Valley Hospital Center. The accident remains under investigation.

May 4

9:32 AM: There was a report from a resident of Garrison, New York, that while he was fishing, his car, which was parked in near Croton Landing had one of the windows broken. The matter is under investigation.

May 5

7:51 AM: There was a report from a resident of Cleveland Drive that sometime overnight someone went through his unlocked car. The resident reported that no personal property was taken. The matter is under investigation.

9:25 AM: There was a report from another resident of Cleveland Drive that sometime overnight someone went through his unlocked car. The resident reported that no personal property was taken. The matter is under investigation.

5:24 PM: Officers responded to a domestic dispute outside on Elmore Avenue. Upon arrival, patrol arrested a 23-year-old male resident of Croton for Disorderly Conduct, Harassment and Resisting Arrest. The man was taken to Police HQ, arraigned by the judge, bail was set at $1,000. Shortly thereafter, the man was released to family members after posting bail and is due in village court on May 9, 2007 at 9:30 AM.

6:50 PM: There was a report about burning wood chips on the walkway on Elliot Way. Patrol responded to the scene and extinguished the small smolder wood chips.

9:27 PM: There was a report from a resident of Irving Avenue that sometime within the past few hours his house was egged. The matter is under investigation.

May 6

8:36 AM: There was a report from a resident of Furnace Dock Road that sometime during the past month some items were stolen from the dock area near his boat house. The matter is under investigation.

11:24 AM: There was a report from a resident of Alexander lane that someone took grass from his property. The mater is under investigation.

5:32 PM: Officer on patrol stopped a vehicle for Vehicle and Traffic Violations near Municipal Place. Upon investigation, officer arrested a 43-year-old male resident of Croton for DWI and other Vehicle and Traffic Violations. The man was taken to Police HQ, later released on his own recognizance and is due in village court on May 16, 2007 at 9:30 AM.

May 7

6:48 AM: Officer on patrol stopped two vehicles on Route 9A North for Vehicle and Traffic Violations. Upon further investigation the driver of the first car, a 33-year-old resident of Mount Vernon, was given a summons for driving with a suspended license and other Vehicle and Traffic Violations, his car was towed, he was brought top Police HQ and later released on $100.00 bail. The driver of the second car, a 34-year-old resident of the Bronx, was charged driving with a suspended license and Unlawful Possession of Marijuana and other Vehicle and Traffic Violations, his car was towed, he was brought top Police HQ and later released on $100.00 bail. Both men are due in village court on May 16, 2007 at 9:30 AM.

7:12 AM: A custodian at CET reported that sometime overnight two outdoor flood lights were broken. The matter is under investigation.

1:11 PM: Alarm company reported an activated fire alarm at a residence on Croton lake Road. Croton Fire Department and New York State Police responded to the scene and determined that the alarm was activated by workers at the residence.
