May 10

12:27 PM: Alarm company called to report an activated fire alarm at a residence on Fox Run Road. Croton Fire Department responded to the scene and determined the cause of the alarm to be burning food in the kitchen.

May 11

6:55 AM: A custodian at PVC Middle School reported that sometime overnight a window in the rear of the school was broken. The matter is under investigation.

9:40 PM: There was a report from a resident of Brooke Street about a noisy group of youths in the area. Patrol responded to the scene and asked them to leave the area without incident.

11:41 PM: There was a report from a resident of Palmer Avenue about a noisy group of youths in the area. Patrol responded to the scene and asked them to leave the area without incident.

May 12

1:53 PM: Officer on patrol stopped a vehicle on Farrington Road for littering. Upon further investigation, officer arrested the driver, a 19-year-old male resident of Croton, for Unlawful Possession of Marijuana, a violation. The passenger, a seventeen-year-old resident of Croton, was issued a summons for littering. Both individuals were take to Police HQ and subsequently released on their own recognizance and are due in village court on may 23, 2007 at 9:30 AM.

4:39 PM: There was a report from a resident of Radnor Avenue about a barking dog in the neighborhood. Patrol responded to the scene and asked the dog owner to bring the dog inside.

May 13

1:02 AM: There was a request from MTA Police for mutual aid from Croton Police with a disorderly person arriving on the train.

9:07 AM: There was a report from a resident of Amber Drive about smoke in her home. Patrol and Croton Fire Department responded to the scene and determined that the smoke was caused by faulty dryer vent.

May 14

9:32 AM: An employee from the Croton Recreation Department reported that sometime overnight a BBQ grill was stolen from Senasqua Park. The matter is under investigation.

2:04 PM: There was a report from a residence on Alexander Lane about smoke coming from the area near a neighboring home. Patrol and Croton Fire Department responded to the scene and determined that the smoke was coming from a small mulch fire.

5:57 PM: County Fire Control reported a brush fire in the center median on Route 9 North near Senasqua Road. Croton Fire Department responded to the scene and extinguished the fire.

6:58 PM: There was a report from a resident of Van Wyck Street that sometime in the previous days, someone scratched the hood of his car while parked on the street. The matter is under investigation.

May 14

7:10 PM: There was a report from a 10-year-old female resident of Croton, that while she was walking down the driveway of the Merwin Oak parking lot, a male driving a champagne-colored vehicle pulled up along side her and asked her to get into the vehicle by saying that the girl’s mother had asked him to pick her up. The girl refused to get into the car. Soon after, the vehicle left the area.

Croton detectives describe the man in question to be a white male, late thirties to forties years of age, having short black hair, a clean-shaven face, wearing a suit jacket, a white shirt and grey pants. The vehicle may have dents on the passenger side. The matter is under investigation. Croton police ask that if any one has information regarding this matter to call 914-271-5177.
