I was watching my son and his teammates play this weekend April 2008 in a tournament hosted by Croton for the 25th year. I wish when my son was a second grader we had youth lacrosse in Croton. It is a fast pace game and the kids love it. Great job by the parents to get this up and running for the kids. The high school play was great this weekend and the village send out an email about it. How about an email to let the community know about some of the sports events that the high school offers.

As a long-time supporter and watcher of Croton Lacrosse, I know how much fun it is for the kids to play and adults to watch. I’ve traveled up and down the eastern seaboard watching my kids play highschool and college lacrosse (yep - even Big Mike from the Black Cow!) and it was a blast. It’s a GREAT spectator sport and the games are exciting and enthusiastic. Congratulations to all the High School lacross players and keep an eye on some of these younger players coming up from the modified league. These kids are good and play very talented lacrosse.

I urge everyone to support and encourage them. They can only get better and better with more play and when they become a little more “game-wise” and experienced, there will be no stopping them.
