Croton's 'Real Rough Diamonds' set to Rock & Roll June 22nd
On Friday, June 22, 2007, the banks of the mighty Hudson River will come alive with the (loud) sounds of the “Real Rough Diamonds.” In an exclusive appearance, Croton’s own five adopted brothers who play their unique blend of rock and roll—from the Monkees to Motown, from Led Zeppelin to Country—beginning at 10:00 PM at The Grandstand.
The Diamonds—who are Frank “Mig” Diamond - Guitar Strummin & Croonin’, Adam, “Yes I Am the Batman” Diamond - Guitar Twanglin’ & Croonin’ & Banjo Pickin’ & Washboard Scrubbin’, Mark “the Mink” Diamond - Big Bottom Standup Upright Bass Pluckin’, Frankie “88-Keys” Diamond - Organ “Ticklin’ & Piano Playin’ & Croonin’, Trip “Thumper” Diamond - Drums & Gas Can Slappin’ & Suitcase Banging—take a no-nonsense approach to playing music their way, with both great unexpected cover tunes and their own well-crafed collection of original music.
