June 11

4:33 PM: There was a report from a resident of Young Avenue about a raccoon in her house. Patrol responded to the scene, unable to remove the animal from the premises, they advised the resident to contact wildlife control service.

June 12

12:51 PM: The custodian at Pierre Van Cortlandt Middle School reported that someone threw a rock at his vehicle while it was parked in the school lot. The matter is under investigation.

6:22 PM: There was a report from a resident of Morningside Drive that sometime over the past three months, some personal items were stolen from here home including jewelry. The matter is under investigation.

6:35 PM: There was a report from a resident of Croton-on-Hudson that while his car was parked at the Croton Harmon train station parking lot, someone broke into his vehicle and stole his dashboard-mounted GPS unit. The matter is under investigation,

9:05 PM: County Fire Control requested assistance from the Croton-on-Hudson fireboat for an incident in Verplanck.

10:24 PM: Croton police arrested a 27-year-old male resident of Croton-on-Hudson with Menacing in the 2nd Degree, a misdemeanor, with regard to a domestic dispute. The man was brought to Police HQ, subsequently released on $200.00 bail and was given a date to appear due in village court to answer the charge against him.

10:51 PM: There was a report from a resident of Old Post Road South about a bat inside his home. Patrol responded to the scene, proceeded to capture the bat, transport it to Police HQ, where it was later picked up for examination by the Westchester County Department of Health for rabies testing.

June 14

8:46 PM: There was a report from a resident of Riverview Trail that at while his unlocked car was parked outside his home, some money was taken from inside. The matter is under investigation.

June 15

1:14 PM: There was a report from a resident of Radnor Avenue that he sensed smoke in the neighboring area. Patrol and Croton Fire Department responded to the area and subsequently extinguished a small fire in a barrel containing sawdust.

3:31 PM: There was a report from a resident of Batten Road about a raccoon in her house. Patrol responded to the scene, unable to remove the animal from the premises, they advised the resident to contact wildlife control service.

4:48 PM: There was a report from a residence on Quaker Bridge Road about a gas barbecue grill on fire. Croton Fire Department responded to the scene and extinguished the fire. There was no damage reported to the home itself.

June 16

12:42 PM: Croton Fire Department responded to a report of a brush fire on the median of Route 9 North near Senasqua Road and subsequently extinguished it. Approxiamtely 45 minutes later, firefighters responded to a similar call for a brush fire on North Riverside Avenue.

June 17

3:55 AM: Officer on patrol reported a downed tree limb on Oneida Avenue, which was blocking the roadway. Shortly thereafter, Croton DPW responded to the scene to put barricades in the road until the debris was removed later in the day.

10:15 AM: Croton Fire Department responded to a report of a brush fire on the median of Route 9 North near Senasqua Road and subsequently extinguished it.

11:07 PM: There was a report from a resident of Ridge Road that his home had been “egged.” The matter is under investigation.
