June 18

2:58 PM: There was a report of a brush fire in the center median on Route 9 North near Croton Point Avenue. Patrol and Croton Fire Department responded to the scene and subsequently extinguished the fire.

5:42 PM: There was a report of a brush fire in the center median on Route 9 North near Senasqua Road. Patrol and Croton Fire Department responded to the scene and subsequently extinguished the fire.

June 19

4:11 AM: Officer on patrol stopped a vehicle on Maple Street for Vehicle and Traffic violations. Upon investigation police arrested an 18-year-old Mount Vernon resident for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th Degree, Criminal Impersonation, both misdemeanors, and said Vehicle and Traffic Violations. The man was brought to Police HQ, later released after posting $500 bail and was due in village court on June 20th, 2007 at 9:30 AM.

1:41 PM: Croton detectives brought three 15-year-old male residents of Croton-on-Hudson to police HQ for trespassing on private property near Mayo’s Landing. The boys in question were later released to their parents. Croton youth officer will follow up on the case.

2:16 PM: There was a report of a brush fire in the center median on Route 9 South near Warren Road. Patrol and Croton Fire Department responded to the scene and subsequently extinguished the fire.

8:10 PM: There was a report from a resident on Bungalow Road about loud construction noise in the area. Patrol responded to the scene and asked the contractor to stop working as it was past 8:00 PM, in accordance with village noise ordinance.

June 20

4:46 PM: There was a report from Croton Auto Park that sometime within the past 90 days, two used vehicles were stolen from their lot. The matter is under investigation.

5:17 PM: There was a report of a brush fire in the center median on Route 9 North near Senasqua Road. Patrol and Croton Fire Department responded to the scene and subsequently extinguished the fire.

6:44 PM: There was a report about a sick skunk on Grand Street. Patrol responded to the scene, destroyed the animal, subsequently called the DPW to pick up and dispose of the remains.

11:22 PM: There was a report from a resident of Joseph Wallace Drive about a carbon monoxide alarm activation in his home. Croton Fire Department responded to the scene to assist the homeowner.

June 21

1:45 PM: There was a report of a brush fire in the center median on Route 9 North near Senasqua Road. Patrol and Croton Fire Department responded to the scene and subsequently extinguished the fire.

5:12 PM: There was a report of a brush fire in the center median on Route 9 North near Municipal Place. Patrol and Croton Fire Department responded to the scene and subsequently extinguished the fire.

5:59 PM: There was a report of a disorderly group of people on the shore of the Croton River between Silver Lake Park and Mayo’s Landing. Park Ranger responded to the area and asked the group to leave the area.

June 22

7:29 AM: There was a report of construction noise in the area of South Riverside Avenue and Croton Point Avenue. Patrol responded to the scene and asked the contractor to stop working until it was 8:00 AM, in accordance with village noise ordinance.

7:48 AM: There was a report of construction noise in the area of Beekman Avenue. Patrol responded to the scene and asked the contractor to stop working until it was 8:00 AM, in accordance with village noise ordinance.

4:49 PM: County Fire Control reported a brush fire in the center median on Route 9 North near Senasqua Road. Patrol and Croton Fire Department responded to the scene and subsequently extinguished the fire.

11:06 PM: There was a report from a resident of Grand Street about loud music coming from the Friends Bar. Patrol responded to the scene and asked the proprietor to lower the noise level.

June 23

12:40 AM: There was a report of a loud party on South Riverside Avenue. Patrol responded to the area and asked the party host to lower the noise level.

2:13 AM: There was a report of a loud party on Old Post Road South. Patrol responded to the area and asked the party host to lower the noise level.

2:05 PM: There was a report of a brush fire in the center median on Route 9 South near the Rt. 129 exit ramp. Patrol and Croton Fire Department responded to the scene and subsequently extinguished the fire.

5:24 PM: There was report from a resident of Hastings Avenue about a large tree limb hanging over the roadway. Patrol responded to the scene and subsequently arranged for the DPW trim the tree.

10:17 PM: There was a report of a loud party on Farrington Road. Patrol responded to the area and asked the party host to lower the noise level.

June 24

3:31 AM: There was a report of a loud party on Glengary Road. Patrol responded to the area and asked the party host to lower the noise level.

5:06 PM: There was a report about three people swimming in the waters surrounding Senasqua Park—in violation of park rules. Park Ranger responded to the scene and asked the person involved to leave the area.

6:37 PM: Officer on patrol stopped a vehicle on Grand Street for Vehicle and Traffic violations. Upon investigation, officer arrested the driver, a 50-year-old resident of Croton-on-Hudson with DWI and said Vehicle and Traffic violations. The man was taken to Police HQ, later released on his own recognizance to a friend and is due in village court on June 27, 2007 at 9:30 AM.

7:25 PM: There was a report of a disorderly group at Croton Landing. Park Ranger responded to the scene and asked the person in question to leave the area.

9:08 PM: There was a report from a resident of Morningside Drive that their car, parked in front of their home, was smoking. Patrol and Croton Fire Department responded to the scene and subsequently disconnected the battery and urged the resident to contact their mechanic.
