Police Raid Brook Street Residence Thursday Morning

Crotonblog reader “c.m.” wrote in on August 2, 2007 at 7:54 AM with this tip (thank you): “While driving down Riverside Avenue today on my way to the train station, I saw a team of SWAT Police raiding a residence on Brook Street. Have you heard anything about this?

As it turns out, a 32-year-old male resident of Croton-on-Hudson was arrested for dealing Crack Cocaine and possessing illegal fireworks. The man was subsequently charged with two felony counts of third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance. After his arraignment, he was remanded on $15,000 bail, taken to the Westchester County Jail, and is due in Village Court on August 8, 2007, at 9:30 AM.

Excellent! Something for the blotter other than the immense epidemic of loitering youth this town has experienced.

This is just proof that when they’re not following “suspicious” teens around and drinking Budweisers on the police boat, the Croton Police Department actually does catch a few criminals.
