October 22

10:52 AM: Croton Fire Department responded to an alarm from a residence on Hessian Hills Road. Upon investigation, firefighters determined the cause was from burning food in the kitchenthe home.

October 23

7:09 AM: There was a report from an employee at Croton Harmon High School about damage, for the third time, to a chain link fence on school property. The matter is under investigation.

9:25 PM: Croton Fire Department responded to an alarm from a residence on Sunset Trail. Upon investigation, firefighters determined the cause was from a loose piece of cloth that was touching a light bulb.

October 24

7:24 AM: There was a report from an employee at Pierre Van Cortlandt Middle School about painted grafitti applied to an exterior wall of the school property. The matter is under investigation.

9:25 AM: Patrol responded to a report of a child locked inside a car on Old Post Road South and subsequently opened the locked vehicle.

4:55 PM: There was a eeport from a resident of Farrington Road that sometime overnight someone broke intoo his parked car and stole the radio. The matter is under investigation.

October 25

4:08 PM: There was a report from a student at Croton Harmon High School that his iPod was stolen from his backpack. The matter is under investigation.

October 26

3:09 PM: There was a report from a student at Croton Harmon High School that her purse was stolen. The matter is under investigation.

October 28

8:20 AM: Croton Fire Department responded to an activated fire alarm at Croton Self-Storage. Upon investigation, firefighters found a faulty sprinkler system to be the cause of the false alarm.

10:38 AM: There was a report from a resident of Morningside Drive that he discovered damage to his boat from an attempted break-in while it was docked at the Croton Yacht. Though nothing was reportedly missing, the matter remains under investigation.

4:21 PM: There was a report by a passer-by of a fight among a group of teenager in front of the CVS Pharmacy on Maple Street. Police responded to the scene and though no injuries were reported, the matter is under investigation.

8:43 PM: There was a report from a resident of Darby Avenue the her decorative pumpkins were stolen from her front lawn. The matter is under investigation.

October 29

5:31 PM: There was a report from a passer-by that a seagull was entangled in some power lines at the Croton Harmon train station parking lot. Patrol and Croton DPW workers responded to the scene, and by using lift equipment, were able to reach the gull, who was apparently also tangled in fishing line and had a broken wing. Subsequently, police destroyed it while DPW workers disposed of the remains.

5:36 PM: There was a report from a resident in the area of Radnor Avenue who were skateboarding near passing traffic. Patrol responded to the scene and asked the youths in question to leave the area.
