November 19

4:19 PM: A resident from Newtown Court reported a small brush fire near her home. By the time patrol and firefighters reached the scene, the woman already extinguished the fire.

November 21

9:33 AM: Croton police and firefighters were summoned to Bagels on Hudson in the Croton Commons shopping center on Maple Street due to a report of smoke in the store. Subsequently, the responders identified the source of smoke and proceeded to ventilate the space.

2:16 PM: Croton police were notified that an empty boat was adrift in the Hudson River near Croton Point Park. Later, the boat landed on the public beach in the park and was removed by Westchester County Police.

November 22

6:02 AM: Officer on patrol reported that two sidewalk planting barrels were overturned and some carved pumpkins were smashed in front of Wondrous Things on Albany Post Road. The matter is under investigation.

11:29 PM: There was a report from a woman on North Riverside Avenue that she witnessed two men steal her American Flag from her front porch and proceed to march down the street waving it. Patrol responded to the scene, apprehended the two men, both 23-year-old males from Peekskill, in question. The men were subsequently charged with petit larceny and possession of stolen property, both misdemeanors, and later released after posting $100.00 bail each pending an upcoming appearance in village court.

November 23

5:40 PM: There was a report from a resident of Van Wyck Street that he noticed that over the past several months some items were missing from his house. The matter is under investigation.

4:55 PM: There was a report from an employee at ShopRite on South Riverside Avenue that a cashiers was scammed by man, described as a 40-year-old white male, after he asked for changed for several large bills. The matter is under investigation.

November 25

7:41 AM: There was a report from an employee at the Croton Harmon train station commuter lot office that sometime overnight someone broke into the after-hours cash box. Though no money was taken, the matter is under investigation.

2:07 PM: There were two separate reports from residents of Half Moon Bay that tires on their cars had been slashed. The matter is under investigation.

November 26

3:02 PM: There was a report from an employee at the liquor store in Van Wyck shopping center about a woman who shoplifted. Patrol responded to the scene and subsequently arrested a 59-year-old female resident of Peekskill. Subsequently, the woman was released on $200.00 bail pending an upcoming appearance in village court.
