December 18

5:42 PM: There was a report from a resident of Half Moon Bay about an odor of natural gas in the area. Patrol and Croton Department responded to the scene to confirm the report. Subsequently, Con Edison was summoned to the area to fix an apparent leak.

December 19

11:49 AM: There was a report from a resident of Half Moon Bay that some jewelry was missing from here home. The matter is under investigation.

December 21

3:44 AM: There was a report from MTA Police that a mailbox in front of the Croton Harmon train station was emanating smoke. Patrol and Croton firefighters responded to the scene and extinguished a small fire. The burned mail inside was subsequently turned over to the U.S. Postal Service for inspection. The matter is under investigation.

December 23

8:15 PM: Patrol and Croton firefighters responded to a fire on South Riverside Avenue. The fire began when downed electrical wires sparked an underground natural gas leak where repairs were previously underway. Con Edison returned to the scene, shut the gas supply thereby causing the flames to extinguish and made a repair to the leak.

December 24

12:38 PM: There was a report from an employee of ShopRite about an altercation between two women in the store. Patrol responded to the scene and arrested a 38-year-old female resident of Ossining with Assault in the Third Degree. The woman was taken into custody and later released on her own recognizance pending an upcoming appearance in village court. Her victim was taken to the hospital to be treated for her sustained injuries.

December 25

1:50 AM: Officer on patrol pulled a car over for vehicle and traffic violations on Grand Street. Upon investigation, the driver, a 23-year-old male resident of Croton was arrested for DWI and driving with a revoked license. The man was taken to police HQ where he was subsequently released to a family member after posting $50.00 bail pending an upcoming appearance in village court.

December 29

3:37 AM: Officer on patrol pulled a car over for vehicle and traffic violations on Lower North Highland Avenue. Upon investigation, the driver, a 33-year-old male resident of Ossining was arrested for DWI and driving with a revoked license. The man was taken to police HQ where he was subsequently released to a family member after posting $250.00 bail pending an upcoming appearance in village court.
