January 21

9:14 PM: Patrol responded to a report from a woman who had inadvertently locked her young child inside her car while it was running. Shortly after arriving on the scene, police gained entry to the vehicle.

January 22

1:37 PM: Officer on patrol reported the a light post located in Dobbs Park was knocked down. The matter is under investigation.

January 23

5:58 AM: Croton firefighters were dispatched to to provide mutual aid for a fire at Melrose Lumber, located on Croton Avenue in Ossining.

10:45 AM: There was a report from a resident of Croton that while his car was parked on South Riverside Avenue, someone stole his train station parking pass. The matter is under investigation.

January 24

7:49 AM: There was a report from a resident of Teatown Road about an odor of smoke that smelled electrical in nature. Croton firefighters responded to the scene and determined the cause to be from a faulty well pump.

1:42 PM: There was a report from a resident of Young Avenue about an odor of smoke in her home. Croton firefighters responded to the scene and determined the cause to be from a faulty oil burner.

January 26

3:04 AM: MTA police request mutual aid from Croton PD for assistance with a boisterous group of people who were arriving on an inbound train at the Croton Harmon station.

5:05 PM: There was a report from a resident of Grand Street that while his car was parked on Farrington Road, someone stole two spare from his vehicle. The matter is under investigation.

6:18 PM: There was a report from a resident of Half Moon Bay about an odor of smoke in his condominium unit. Croton firefighters responded to the scene and determined the cause to be from a faulty chimney flu.

January 27

6:02 PM: There was a report from a resident of Reber Road in Cortlandt Manor about an odor of smoke in her home. Croton firefighters responded to the scene and determined the cause to be from a log that was left leaning against a lit wood-burning stove.
