Crotonblog HEARS...

Crotonblog had hardly been in operation a week when we received a comment from Maria Cudequest saying, “hi there. love the site. but who exactly are you?”

We very quickly obliged her and named the seven original founders.

There never has been any secret about who they were.

Readers may very well say, Well, don’t beat around the bush. Where are you going with this?

Again, we’re happy to oblige.

What we have heard is that Maria Cudequest is diligently asking around town about the current makeup of Crotonblog’s editorial staff.

What is so amusing yet perplexing about this is that if she is that interested in Crotonblog’s staff, all she has to do is to ask us.

There’s no big mystery about who we are.

C’mon, girl, step up to the plate and ask your questions.

Crotonblog has nothing to hide.

Which is more than we can say about you.

Ms. Cudequest is a most tenacious and self-proclaimed “community activist”. She somehow has managed to convince a very few people that she really does know what she’s talking about. Her small cadre of disciples respond to her pontificating with rapt attention. To the best of my knowledge, she has never been appointed to nor served on any community board or task force under either a republican or democratic administration. She attends only select public meetings (particularly those being televised!). One cannot help but wonder where she gets her “information”. She pretends to know the “real motivation” behind the decisions made by both sides of an argument. She speaks with apparent authority about events taking place at meetings at which she has not been in attendance. And then somehow - someway, she miraculously reports on what happened in the most declarative and authoritative detail.

That’s an amazing talent and I guess that’s why she’s called a “community activist”.
