June 2

12:41 PM: There was a report of an altercation between two men at the Echo Canoe Launch, located at the southern end of the Croton Harmon train station parking lot. Patrol responded to the scene and assisted the two men, a 52-year-old male resident of Croton and a 61-year-old male resident of Mount Vernon resolve their dispute.

June 3

6:37 AM: There was a report from a contractor working at the Croton Landing construction site about several suspicious looking packages that had washed ashore. Patrol responded to the area and determined that the materials were just garbage.

3:13 PM: There was a report from a resident of Cortlandt Manor that while her car was parked at the Croton Harmon train station parking lot, it was hit by another vehicle. The matter is under investigation.

10:52 PM: There was a report made to police about a vehicle that was parked on CSX Transportation property nearby Croton landing. Patrol responded to the scene and advised the occupants of the car to leave the area without further incident.

June 4

12:25 AM: Police responded to a report of a disorderly person on Grand Street who had also damaged a nearby car. Subsequently, patrol charged the person in question, an 18-year-old male resident of Croton with Criminal Mischief in the third degree and resisting arrest. Additionally, the man arrested was found to be intoxicated and in possession of marijuana. Also, in the course of the arrest, the responding officer injured his thumb. After having been taken into custody, the man was transported to the Westchester County Jail, where he was temporarily held without bail. Later that day, the man was released after posting $500.00 bail pending an upcoming appearance in village court.

June 5

4:42 PM: Officer on patrol charged a 22-year-old male resident of Ossining with driving with a suspended license after being pulled over on Harrison Street. Subsequently, the man was taken into custody and later released after posting $200.00 bail pending an upcoming appearance in village court.

10:07 PM: There was a report from the First Assistant Fire Chief that while the chief’s vehicle was parked in front of his residence, it was egged. The matter is under investigation.

June 6

3:09 AM: Officer on patrol charged a 26-year-old male resident of Montrose with DWI after being pulled over on Route 9 North. Subsequently, the man was taken into custody and later released after posting $100.00 bail pending an upcoming appearance in village court.

6:26 AM: Officer on patrol charged a 28-year-old female resident of Croton without a license after being pulled over on Mount Airy Road. Subsequently, the woman was taken into custody and later released on her own recognizance pending an upcoming appearance in village court.

7:16 AM: There was a report from a resident of Darby Avenue that a nearby contractor was operating a generator. Patrol responded to the scene and advised the worker to turn off the machine until 8:00 AM as he was in violation of the village noise ordinance.

8:15 AM: There was a report of a dispute between two individuals on Farrington Road. Patrol responded to the scene and assisted the two individuals in question to resolve their disagreement.

11:55 AM: Officer on patrol charged a male resident of Irvington with Unlawful Possession of Marijuana, a violation, after being pulled over on Route 9 North. Subsequently, the man was taken into custody and later released on his own recognizance pending an upcoming appearance in village court.

3:41 PM: Officer on patrol charged a 32-year-old male resident of Mohegan Lake with driving with a suspended license and vehicle registration, and two counts of possession of a controlled substance, after being pulled over on Route 9 North. Subsequently, the man was taken into custody and later released after posting $500.00 bail pending an upcoming appearance in village court.

8:04 PM: Patrol responded to a report of several youths trespassing on private property on Grand Street. Upon arrival, officer found a group of 14- to 16-year-old youths on the roof of a structure smoking cigarettes. The group was taken to police HQ and later released into the custody of their parents.

June 8

12:27 PM: There was a report from an employee of Croton Country Gardens on Albany Post Road about receiving a fake check. Patrol responded to the scene and assisted in resolving the matter between the business and payer.

7:19 PM: Park ranger on patrol asked approximately 20 people who were swimming at Silver Lake park to leave the premises as the area was not open and not supervised by lifeguards.

June 9

9:19 AM: Officer on patrol charged a 19-year-old female resident of Croton with driving with a suspended license after being pulled over on Route 129. Subsequently, the man was taken into custody and later released after posting $50.00 bail pending an upcoming appearance in village court.
