New Chapter for Croton Free Library with Launch of Improved Website

June 16, 2008

In conjunction with the Croton Free Library Association, the Croton Free Library is pleased to announce its new website, located at The site offers web visitors the opportunity to visit the library 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

The library website features access to library services such as renewals, holds and catalog searches of books, music, recorded books and movies from our collection or any of the 37 member libraries of the Westchester library system. Visitors can request materials online and the library will call patrons when they arrive and then hold the materials for a week at the library.

Looking for an interesting program to attend? An events calendar lists upcoming library events ranging from classical musical recitals to history seminars and photography workshops.

Searching for a fun literary activity with children this summer? Parents of young children can search our site for story time hours, children’s events and information about our Summer Reading Game.

The library thanks the Croton Free Library Association for their sponsorship and support of its new website. The library invites Croton residents and school district residents to download information online or come into the library to pick up an application. It is through the financial support of tax payers and library association members that the Croton Free Library is able to develop new programs and services, such as the website, and continue to keep the library the heart of the village.

One more HUGE reason we think Croton is such a special place to live. Our library is the best and the library personnel are so professional and customer oriented they can’t be topped anywhere. Just check the events calendar and be amazed at the wondrous things they offer for children and adults alike. We couldn’t have more complete and diverse offerings if we lived in a big city,

We’ll take our little village any day of the week with the ever present service and personal attention always so available. Yet even more reasons to “luvcrtn”.
