June 30

11:14 AM: There was a report from a neighboring resident about a loud beeping noise in the area around Veterans Corner. The responding officer later determined that the noise, a malfunctioning deer repellent system, originated from a home on Old Post Road South.

6:40 PM: There was a report of a disoriented man who was trespassing at a residence on Nordica Drive. Patrol responded to the scene and charged a 60-year-old male resident of Croton with trespass. The man was taken into custody and later released on his own recognizance pending an upcoming appearance in village court.

7:01 PM: There was a report from a resident of Grand Street that sometime within the past three weeks, jewelry was taken from her home. Detectives were unable to find evidence of a forced entry while the matter remains under investigation.

July 1

12:31 AM: Officer on patrol charged a 45-year-old male resident of Ossining with driving without a license. The man was later released pending an upcoming appearance in village court.

1:40 PM: There was a report of a dispute between two individuals on Half Moon Bay Drive. Patrol responded to the scene and helped the involved persons to settle their disagreement without further incident.

6:29 PM: Officer on patrol charged a 28-year-old female resident of Croton with driving without a license after being pulled over on Croton Point Avenue. The woman was later released pending an upcoming appearance in village court.

July 2

2:04 PM: Officer on patrol charged a 43-year-old female resident of Ossining with driving without a license after being pulled over on Maple Street. The woman was later released pending an upcoming appearance in village court.

8:16 PM: There was a report from a resident of Hastings Avenue about a strong odor of gas in his home. Police and Croton fire department responded to the scene, turned off the gas and secured the area until a Con Ed service person arrived on the scene.

July 4

4:37 AM: There was a report from a security guard at Senasqua park about a driver in the area who was driving in an erratic manner. patrol responded to the scene and subsequently charged a 22-year-old male resident of Croton with DWI. The man was taken into custody and later released pending an upcoming appearance in village court.

5:40 PM: Police responded to a report of persons igniting fireworks on Old Post Road North and asked those involved to stop without further incident.

July 5

2:16 AM: There was a report from a resident of of Hunter Place about two persons in the area making loud noise. Patrol responded to the scene and found two 20-year-old women, one from Croton and another from Connecticut, who were singing in the rain. Subsequently, officer asked the women to stop without further incident.

9:03 PM: There was a report from an employee at Blockbuster video on Maple Avenue that about a theft of merchandise $6,000 worth of merchandise from the back storage room of the store. The matter is under investigation.

July 6

5:54 PM: There was a report from a resident of Van Wyck Street that someone gained access to her house through an unlocked window, and stole money, alcohol and tobacco products. The matter is under investigation.

July 7

12:30 PM: Assistant fire chief of the Croton fire department reported that someone had recently thrown eggs at the department’s SUV while it was parked on North Riverside Avenue. The matter is under investigation.

July 8

12:57 AM: There was a report from a resident on Bungalow Road about a raccoon inside their home. Patrol responded to the scene and assisted the homeowner in showing the animal the door.
