Yes, there is a Croton music scene

January 12, 2009

Dear Crotonbloggers,

I’ve been following your site for some time and I like the recent facelift of a redesign.

I’m really contacting you folks because I thought you might want to spotlight someone who I think is a rising star in the Croton music scene. Her name is Sarah Moore and she sings with Frank Carrato & Jim Shea. While the two of them are alright, Sarah has an amazing voice and belts out oldies and blues-infused tunes like no other.

As far as local talents go, she is deserving of some attention. I know that she is a public school teacher in the Bronx, but grew up in and still has strong ties in the Croton/Cortlandt area. She performs mainly at Friends on Grand St. and the Tavern on Riverside Ave.

Take care!

Would be great if the Tavern and Friends published their music schedules on the blog or on Crotonspace so it was easier to know when people are performing…maybe the artists could do it themselves…
