Hello friends and supporters,
I want to thank you for your support these last 2 months. Not only have I had the chance to discuss the many issues that face our District, but I have had the chance to meet many new people.
Like I have said many times during my campaign, I want to make sure that all of our children receive the education that they deserve. I understand that every child has a different path, and our schools must try to provide each child with the educational opportunities he/she needs to receive his/her individual educational experience.
I have repeatedly said that our residential tax base is maxed out. Because I am actually aware of the tough economic times that we are facing, I will continue to look for additional, non-academic ways to reduce spending. But, like I have said before, there are many issues that must be considered when we discuss areas to cut costs. So, in order to accomplish this complex task, our community needs to elect Board members who are able to think analytically, critically, and collectively.
Not only will I bring my professional skills as an appellate attorney to the Board, but I believe that I possess the invaluable qualities of patience, open-mindedness, honesty, integrity, and respectfulness, that a Board member needs when she listens to the community, the Administration, and other Board members.
I appreciate all the attention and consideration you have given me. I promise to work hard to achieve the best education for all of our children. I hope that I can count on your support. I can still be reached at firstname.lastname@example.org, and you can see my biographical information and position papers at www.lohud.com, and www.smartvoter.org/vote/wolland.
