1:21 PM: There was a report of a fire at a residence on Grand Street. Patrol and Fire Department responded to the scene and found a stove-top grease fire was the cause of the alert and that it had been extinguished upon their arrival.
9:19 PM: There was a report from a residence of Dailey Drive that his residence was just hit by eggs. Patrol responded to the scene but was not able to locate parties involved upon arrival. The matter is under investigation.

2:46 PM: There were four reports from residents of Upper North Highland Place, Maple Street, Fox Road and Amber Drive about door to door solicitors selling magazine subscriptions. Patrol responded to the areas where the calls originated and stopped the individuals in question from selling until they had obtained a village permit.

8:10 AM: MTA Police requested mutual aid from Croton Police with an arrest that had been made at the Croton Harmon train station.

April 4
1:03 PM: Patrol stopped a vehicle on South Riverside Avenue for vehicle and traffic violations. Upon investigation, Police arrested a 27-year-old Yonkers resident with Criminal Impersonation—a misdemeanor, aggravated unlicensed operation third degree—a misdemeanor and other vehicle and traffic violations. The man was brought to Police HQ where he later posted $500.00 bail and was subsequently released. The man is due in Village Court on April 12, 2006 at 9:30 AM.
April 5
10:09 AM: The Village of Croton-on-Hudson Recreation Department reported that sometime overnight, the bleachers at Dobbs Park on Maple Street were damaged. The matter is under investigation.
1:30 PM: There was a report of an altercation between two employees at Zeytinia’s Gourmet Market on Maple Street. The matter is under investigation.

9:18 PM: There was a report from a resident of Whelan Avenue that at some time during the evening his house was struck by eggs. The matter is under investigation.
March 30
3:15 AM: Patrol stopped a vehicle at Veteran’s Plaza for vehicle and traffic violations. Upon further investigation, Police charged the driver—a 22-year-old Peekskill man—with Criminal Possession of a Forged Instrument, a felony. The man was taken to police HQ, arraigned and later transported to Westchester County Jail, where he remains until he is due in Village Court on April 5, 2006 at 9:30 AM.
11:59 AM: There was a report from a resident of Grand Street that at some time overnight a window on her car was broken by a BB gun pellet. The matter is under investigation.

2:29 PM: New York City Police Department called Croton Police to report that they had recovered a stolen Jeep Cherokee taken on January 31, 2006. The vehicle was found parked and later towed off the street. The matter remains under investigation.
March 23
2:42 AM: There was a report of an accident on Albany Post Road where a vehicle struck a pole. Patrol responded to the scene and upon further investigation, arrested a 23-year-old male Croton-on-Hudson resident. The driver was brought to Police HQ and later released to a family member after posting $100.00 bail. The man is due in Village court on March 29, 2006 at 9:30 AM.

8:24 AM: There was a report from a resident of Truesdale Drive about a sick skunk. Patrol responded to the scene, destroyed the animal, removed it and disposed of it at the Croton Department of Public Works garage.

9:54 AM: Patrol stopped a vehicle on North Riverside Avenue for vehicle and traffic violations and upon further investigation, the driver was charged with Unlawful Possession of Marijuana. The driver, a 25-year-old male resident of Cortlandt Manor was brought to Police HQ, where he was arraigned, released on $100.00 bail and is due in Village Court on March 8, 2006 at 9:30 AM.

12:48 PM: On Route 9 South, Fire Department, ambulance and Patrol responded to an overturned tractor trailer that went off the road due to slippery condition. No injuries were reported.
