May 17

6:20 PM: There was a report of stolen boy's bicycle from a residence on Grand Street. Police responded to get description of the stolen property and filed a report.

May 18

8:45 PM: The father of the owner of the bicycle stolen on May 17, 2005 reported that the bicycle had been recovered after his child saw someone else riding it around Farrington Road and Palmer Avenue. The matter has been referred to the youth officer.

May 19

5:16 PM: The parking enforcement officer on patrol reported a suspicious parking permit affixed to a vehicle that was parked in the upper parking area of the Harmon Station parking lot. Officers responded to further investigate. Later, at 8:07 PM, the operator returned to the vehicle where police spoke to operator and subsequently place the person in question under arrest for five counts of criminal possession of forged instrument, a second degree felony. The individual was arraigned by Judge Hoffman who set bail at $5,000. The individual was later transported to Westchester County Jail where he later posted bail and was released. He is due in Village court at 9:30 on May 25, 2005.

Police Blotter - Week of May 10th

11:45 AM: There were several calls made to the Police Department about a low-flying helicopter around the Warren Road area. Police checked with officials at the Westchester County Airport and found nothing to be suspicious about the aircraft.

1:34 PM: A report of a bad check being passed at the Croton Point Exxon station was made to the Police Department. The matter is currently under investigation.

11:45 PM: There were reports of kids ringing doorbells at residences on Arlington Drive. Police responded and found no suspicious activity. Complaints did stop after the police investigation.

Police Blotter - Week of May 3rd

9:12 AM: A tree fell on Grand Street near the fire house. The Police Department and Department of Public Works responded to remove the tree and clear the road while traffic was temporarily closed in one lane.

7:30 PM: There was a report at Dobbs Park where a group of kids were seen throwing around a broken stroller. Police responded and had the kids clean up after themselves and issued a verbal warning.

9:40 PM: There was a report of a barking dog in the Beekman Avenue area. Police responded and confirmed the noise. Police found no one home at the residence and have since issued a dog noise ordinance summons that will be sent to the homeowner by mail.

April 27, 2005

7:05 PM: A resident on Oneida Avenue reported that food was burning in their stove. The Fire Department responded and extinguished the fire. No damage was reported by the homeowner.

6:15 AM: The Fire Department was dispatched to a Riverview Trail residence where the owner reported a deck fire resulting from a previously lit grill. The fire was extinguished safely.

April 19

2:18 PM: There was a report of a brush fire on Grand Street which was extinguished by the caller with a watering can.

April 20

11:29 AM: Police investigated a burglary at the Half Moon Bay Marina office. Cash and other items were stolen from the premises. The matter is currently under investigation.
