2:55 PM: A female resident of Croton-on-Hudson and her son, a male seventh-grade student at Pierre Van Cortlandt Middle School, arrived at police HQ to report that he had been punched in the face by another student while at school. Police assigned the youth officer to follow up with the family of the other youth involved.
5:06 PM: There was a report from a resident of Cleveland Drive that someone had recently let the air out of the tires on his vehicle that was parked in front of his home.
May 14
7:42 AM: There was a report from a resident of Thompson Avenue that she was attacked by an unleashed dog. Patrol responded to the scene and located the dog’s owner and verified that the dog was secured inside.
11:28 AM: There was a report from a woman who had locked herself out of her car while the engine was running with her two-year-old child inside. Patrol responded to the scene and was able to gain access to the vehicle.
11:55 AM: There was a report from a resident of O’Reilly Lane about fraudulent charges made to his credit card. The matter is under investigation.
5:22 PM: There was a report from an employee at Groovy-on-Grand about an incident of shoplifting from the store. The matter is under investigation.

April 29
4:10 PM: There was a report from a resident of Peekskill that while her vehicle was parked on Maple Avenue it was struck by another vehicle causing damage to the driver’s side mirror. The matter is under investigation.
April 30
7:56 AM: Croton detectives charged a 32-year-old male resident of Shrub Oak with second-degree Burglary, a felony and Criminal Contempt of a Court Order in connection with the burglary of a Brook Street residence on April 20. The man was taken into police custody and later released after posting $1000.00 bail pending an upcoming appearance in village court.
12:01 PM: Police assisted the dog warden in apprehending two loose dogs running free on the grounds of Carrie E. Tompkins Elementary School. The dog’s owner was issued a ticket for violating village code and is due in village court for an upcoming appearance to answer to the summons.
12:09 PM: There was a report from an employee of the Croton Community Nursery School that a two-foot statue of the Virgin Mary was found on school grounds. The statue remains in custody of the police until its rightful owner makes a claim to it.

April 21
10:40 PM: Patrol responded to a report of a domestic dispute at a residence on Grand Street. Shortly thereafter, officer encouraged on of the persons involved to leave and return the next day to gather personal belongings.
April 22
2:13 AM: There was a report from a resident on High Street about a domestic disturbance in the area. Patrol responded to the scene and upon locating the persons in dispute, urged one of them to leave the area.
3:39 PM: There was a report from a business owner on Grand Street who had safety concerns about a backhoe having been parked atop a nearby pile of dirt. Patrol responded to the scene and later ask the contractor—who was fixing a gas main—to move the equipment.
6:19 PM: There was a report from a resident of Yorktown Heights that damage was done to his car while it was parked at the Croton Harmon train station parking lot.

1:12 PM: A resident of Palmer Avenue informed Croton police that her car, which was reportedly stolen from Grand Street last week was returned. She indicated that her brother lent the car to a friend without her knowledge.
1:59 PM: A resident of Sunset Drive reported that her handicapped parking pass was stolen from her car while parked at the Croton Harmon train station parking lot. The matter is under investigation.
4:29 PM: Croton firefighters responded to a call for mutual aid at the Turkey Hill trail on Route 118 by Yorktown Fire Department.

April 8
2:04 AM: There was a 911 call made to police HQ that resulted in a hang-up. Patrol responded to a residence on Grand Street where a dispute was taking place. Subsequently, police officer asked one of the individuals to leave the premisis.
2:43 PM: There was a report from a passer-by about a loose dog running off the leash at Duck Pond Park. Patrol responded to the scene and subsequently issued the dog owner, a 30-year-old female resident of Croton with a summons for violating village law—as Croton does not permit dogs in its parks.
April 9
6:01 AM: There was a report from a Cortlandt Manor resident that while his car was parked at the Croton Harmon train station parking lot the license plates were stolen from his vehicle. The matter is under investigation.
8:42 AM: Croton police arrested a 21-year-old male resident of Ossining for failure to appear in village court over a past arrest for DWI. The man was brought to village court where he plead guilty and paid a fine.
1:44 PM: Police were called in reponse to a report of a dispute with a driver of a Bee-line bus at the corner of Old Post Road and Maple Street. When police officer arrived at the scene, the matter was settled.
3:30 PM: There was a report from a resident of Darby Avenue that recently someone made fraudulent charges on her iTunes account. The matter is under investigation.

12:13 PM: There was a report from a resident of O’Reilly Court about an activated home alarm in the area. Patrol responded to the scene and determined that a contractor had accidentally set it off.
4:10 PM: There was a report from a resident of Brook Street that someone had fraudulently opened a credit card in her name and charged more than $600.00 worth of goods and services. The matter is under investigation.
9:54 PM: Patrol and Croton firefighters responded to a report of a downed tree and power line on Bungalow Road. Subsequently, Con Ed was dispatched to the scene to repair the wire.

7:25 AM: Patrol and Croton firefighters responded to a report of a downed power line on Albany Post Road between Baltic Place and Scenic Drive West. Subsequently, Con Ed was dispatched to the scene to repair the wire.
5:05 PM: Police received a report of a wallet having been found on Hastings Avenue that was reported as being stolen then previous night from a van parked on Oneida. According to the owner of the wallet, $500.00 in cash was reportedly missing. The matter is under investigation.

Wednesday 26
8:39 AM: Police arrested a 46-year-old female resident of Croton after she turned herself in at Police HQ. The woman was charged with Criminal Contempt in the first degree of violating an order of protection granted to a resident of Grand Street, and later released after posting $500.00 bail pending an upcoming appearance in village court.
1:29 PM: There was a report from a resident of Old Post road North about someone who attempted to switch the mailing address of a bank credit card. The matter is under investigation.
9:58 PM: Police charged a 23-year-old male resident of the Bronx with driving with a suspended license after being pulled over on South Riverside Avenue. The man was later released pending an upcoming appearance in village court.
March 27
2:10 PM: Croton police responded to a report from a resident of North Highland Avenue that her dishwasher was on fire. Upon arrival, officer extinguished the flames with a fire extinguisher. A short time later, Croton fire department arrived to check the premises.
8:20 PM: There was a report from a resident of Grand Street about harassing phone calls from a resident if Maple Street. Officer responded to both homes and settled the complaint without further incident.

8:29 PM: There was a report from a member of New York Sports Club on South Riverside Avenue that while he has using the gym facilities, someone stole cash from his wallet—kept in a locker. The matter is under investigation.
March 20
11:56 AM: There was a report of an altercation between to male individuals in front of a residence on North Riverside Avenue. Patrol responded to the scene arrested one of the men, a 23-year-old resident of Yorktown Heights, charging him with Disorderly Conduct. The man was taken to Police HQ, and subsequently released pending an upcoming appearance in village court.
5:28 PM: Officer on patrol arrested a 26-year-old male resident of Peekskill after pulling his vehicle for speeding on Route 9 South. The driver was charged with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle and two counts of Criminal Possession of a Forged Instrument, a felony. The man was taken to police HQ, and was later remanded to the Westchester County Jail pending an upcoming appearance in village court.
March 21
10:08 PM: Police arrested a 21-year-old male resident of Ossining for failing to appear in village court to answer a prior DWI charge. The man was subsequently remanded to the Westchester County Jail pending an upcoming appearance in village court.

11:24 AM: There was a report from an employee at Carrie E. Tompkins Elementary School that sometime earlier in the day, someone started a fire in a dumpster located behind the school which subsequently caused damage to the container. The matter is under investigation.
1:44 PM: Officer on patrol arrested a 24-year-old male resident of Peekskill for driving with a suspended license after he was pulled over on Route 9 North. The man was later released after posting $200.00 bail pending an upcoming appearance in village court.
4:35 PM: Police responded to a report of an altercation in the shopping center on South Riverside Avenue between two Shop-Rite employees. No injuries or charges were files as a result of the call.
March 5
12:16 PM: Officer on patrol arrested a 22-year-old male resident of Ossining for driving with a suspended license after he was pulled over on Route 9 South. The man was later released after posting $100.00 bail pending an upcoming appearance in village court.
2:55 PM: There was a report from an employee at the GNC retail store on South Riverside Avenue that two men left the store without paying for merchandise. The matter is under investigation.
3:30 PM: There was a report from a resident of Maple Street that someone recently stole jewelry from her bedroom. The matter is under investigation.
6:06 PM: There was a report from a resident of Old Post Road North that someone had recently used her identity to open three cellular phone accounts. The matter is under investigation.
10:18 PM: There was a report about a suspicious man wearing a black ski mask on Grand Street. Patrol responded to the scene and was unable to locate the person in question.

February 27
12:03 AM: Croton police and firefighters responded to a report that there was smoke in a multi-family residence located on Brook Street. Shortly after arrival on the scene, responders evacuated the building and subsequently determined that a faulty furnace was the source of the smoke.
3:54 AM: Officer on patrol reported that a store window to J&J’s Sandwich Shop on Albany Post Road was broken. After a subsequent investigation, police reported that in an additional to the damage to the store, $100.00 was taken from inside the premises. The matter is under further investigation.
9:12 AM: There was a report from a neighboring resident about a suspicious car that was circling in the area of Van Wyck Street near the Croton Community Nursery School. Patrol responded to the scene and determined that the driver, a 23-year-old male resident of Mount Kisco, of the car was awaiting a friend inside the Municipal Building but did have an invalid driver’s license. The man was later charged with driving without a valid license and released on $100.00 bail pending an upcoming appearance in village court.
3:36 PM: There was a report from a resident of Arrowcrest Drive that someone broke into their house through the front door and subsequently stole some cash, jewelry and computer equipment. The matter is under investigation.
3:45 PM: There was a report from a resident of Grand Street that someone filed a change of address form with the United States Postal Service to an out-of-state address, perhaps the the intent of stealing her identity. The matter was turned over to the Postmaster General for further investigation.
