Croton Police Blotter - Week of Febuary 5th

4:30 PM: There was a report from a resident of Albany Post Road reported that he was locked out of his vehicle while it was running. Patrol responded to the scene and assisted the man with entry to his car.

8:19 PM: There was a report from a resident of Truesdale Drive that sometime during past few hours someone threw eggs at his house and car. The matter is under investigation.

February 6

3:25 PM: There was a report about a group of youths throwing rocks at parked cars in the Maple Street area. Patrol responded to area and spoke to some youths while the matter is being referred to the youth officer.

Croton Police Blotter - Week of January 29th

9:10 PM: There was a report from a resident of Peekskill that he locked himself out of his car while the engine was running. Patrol responded to the scene and assisted the man with gaining access to his car.

10:08 PM: There was a report from a resident of Morningside Drive that in the past couple of hours someone had “egged” her car that was parked in the street in front of her residence. The matter is under investigation.

5:07 PM: There was a report from a resident of Teatown Road about a gas odor in her home. Croton Fire Department responded to the scene and checked the premises.

Croton Police Blotter - Week of January 22nd

10:16 AM: Officer on patrol reported a new application of graffiti to a bench and garbage can at Dobbs Park on Maple Street. The matter is under investigation.

January 24

9:03 AM: Croton detective arrested a 54-year-old male resident of Cortlandt on a warrant for Grand Larceny of a stolen credit card. The man was charged, arraigned and taken to the Westchester County Jail. He is due in Village Court on January 31, 2007 at 9:30 AM.

4:44 PM: There was a report from a resident of Grand Street about an oven fire in her home. Patrol and Croton FD responded to the scene but found the fire to have been extinguished upon arrival.

Croton Police Blotter - Week of January 15th

10:45 AM: There was a report from a resident of Batten Road about a basement window that was recently broken at his home. The matter is under investigation.

January 16

6:50 PM: There was a report from a resident of Albany Post Road reported a fire in the backyard of a neighboring home. Patrol and Croton Fire Department responded to the scene and subsequently extinguished a BBQ grill that caught fire.

Croton Police Blotter - Week of January 8th

11:52 AM: There was a report from a resident of Elmore Avenue about a door-to-door salesman who was selling food items from his truck. Patrol responded to the scene and advised the man in question to stop as he is required to have a permit.

January 9

2:47 PM: Alarm company reported an activated fire alarm at building 30 on MTA property. Patrol, Croton Fire Department and MTA police responded to the scene and determined that worker in the building caused the alarm.

Croton Police Blotter - Week of January 2nd

8:27 AM: There was a report from a resident of Grand Street that sometime overnight the outdoor Christmas decorations that are on display in the front yard of her residence were damaged. The matter is under investigation.

3:02 PM: There was a report of a car fire on Route 9 South. Patrol and Croton Fire Department responded to the scene to extinguish the fire. Sometime later the car was towed from the roadway. There were no injuries reported.

January 3

10:50 PM: There was a report from a resident of Briarcliff Manor that she accidentally left her pocketbook in a shopping cart and when returned to the area her purse was missing. The matter is under investigation.

Croton Police Blotter - Week of December 18th

5:01 PM: There was a report from a resident of Grand Street about some money missing from her home. The matter is under investigation.

December 19

10:44 AM: Alarm company reported an activated water alarm at one of the Metro-North railroad buildings. Croton Fire Department responded to the scene and determined that a forklift had hit one the sprinklers and subsequently set off the fire alarm.

December 20

12:34 PM: Alarm company reported an activated smoke alarm at one of the Metro-North railroad buildings. Croton Fire Department responded top the scene but was unable to determine why the alarm was set off.

Croton Police Blotter - Week of December 12th

10:15 AM: There was a report from a resident of Farrington Road that sometime overnight while his car was parked in his driveway his car was “egged.” The matter is under investigation.

December 13

7:28 AM: There was a report of an injured raccoon on Albany Post Road. Patrol responded to the scene, destroyed the animal and subsequently notified Croton DPW to collect the remains.

12:48 PM: There was a report from a resident of Benedict Boulevard that sometime overnight someone let the air out of the tires on her car while it was parked in her driveway. The matter is under investigation.

Croton Police Blotter - Week of December 5th

8:14 PM: There was a report that flyers from the New York Sports clubs were placed on the windshields of parked cars at the Croton Harmon train station lot. Patrol responded to the scene and subsequently notified an employee at the fitness club that their activity is against village law and had them return to the lot to retrieve their flyers from cars and around the area.

12:05 PM: There was a report from a residence of Grand Street that someone “keyed” the paint on their parked car. The matter is under investigation.

Croton Police Blotter - Week of November 27th

November 27

7:34 PM: Alarm company reported a smoke alarm activation at a residence on Bramblebush Road. Croton Fire Department responded to the scene and determined that the cause of the alarm was burning food on the stove.

November 28

10:34 AM: Patrol reported damage to lights and playground equipment damage at Dobbs Park which had occurred sometime overnight. The matter is under investigation.

1:35 PM: There was a report from an employee at the Croton Harmon High School about some graffiti applied to a wall behind the school that occurred in recent days. The matter is under investigation.

November 29

10:45 AM: There was a report from a resident of Croton that at some time during the day, her daughter’s digital camera was stolen from her backpack at croton Harmon High School. The matter is under investigation.
